Search Engine Optimization like it's never been explained before!

Search Engine Optimization has become quite the buzz word in the online marketing world and it continues to grow. A couple of years ago, it was a term searched for by youngsters who were trying to make money online and needed traffic. Today. the corporate world sees a value to Search Engine Optimization as well.

Honestly speaking, having done SEO for about three years now, it is actually a lot easier than you would think.

Search Engine Optimization involves two parts. The first is on-site SEO. This is the process of doing good keyword research and optimizing your content so that it is search engine friendly.

The second part of Search Engine Optimization is off-site SEO, or promoting your website via link building. Here, you submit your website to major search engines and directories and create incoming links to your website. The more relevant links you have, the better your search engine ranking.

Now, it all comes down to quality. For on-site SEO, your keyword research should be thorough and your content should be good. Content is king. Without good content, your SEO will be nowhere.

The secret to off-site SEO is relevant link building. If your site is about photography, don't promote it on websites about Tennis. Instead, promote it on websites related to photography.

SEO is a time consuming process. It doesn't happen overnight.

The video above should give you a good idea about the basics of search engine optimization.
